Bisque swivel head on kid-edged bisque shoulder plate,blue glass enamel inset eyes with spiral threading,dark eyeliner,painted lashes,feathered brows,accented nostrils and eye corners,closed mouth with outlined lips,brunette mohair wig over cork pate,French kid poupee body with gusset-jointing at elbows,hips and knees,stitched and separated fingers. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 2 (head and shoulders). Comments: Gaultier,circa 1875. Value Points: the classic poupee wears original burgundy wool/silk walking suit with maroon silk trim and extended train,burgundy velvet bonnet and kidskin purse,undergarments,leather boots marked C.C.; and owns an additional costume of aqua cashmere wool featuring a fitted jacket with long tails and skirt with four tiers of ruffled lace and extended length bustle back.
