Description
6" (15 cm.) All-bisque with swivel head, sculpted short brown curly hair, tiny brown glass sleep eyes, painted lashes, tinted brows, accented nostrils, open mouth with accented lips, two porcelain lower teeth, loop-jointed bisque arms and legs, painted white socks and pink one-strap shoes. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 15 (neck, arms and legs) 897-15 (arms and legs) Bonne Babe copr. by Georgene Averill (original paper label). Comments: designed by the American artist, Georgene Averill, made in Germany, circa 1920. Value Points: especially fine detail of sculpting, wonderful expression, original paper label.
