Description
6" (15 cm.) Posed standing, his arms braced for holding a wooden staff, the ningyo has carved wooden head, tinted gofun complexion, shadowed crown, painted features, black silk fiber hair, wearing a black silk costume with lettered straps and with a white-edged hand-painted black panel at the upper back, and holding a staff with white and black banner, on original wooden base. Excellent condition. Taisho era, early 1900s.
