26" (66 cm.) Bisque socket head, blue glass paperweight inset eyes, dark eyeliner, painted lashes with "dot" accents, brushstroked and feathered brows, shaded nostrils, closed mouth with shaded and outlined lips, impressed dimples at philtrum and chin, pierced ears, brunette mohair wig, French composition fully-jointed body, lovely antique lace dress, bonnet, undergarments, stockings, and shoes. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: Figure A No 18 J. Steiner Bte SGDG Paris (head), (Steiner label of doll holding flag), on torso. Comments: Jules Steiner, circa 1888. Value Points: beautiful luminous bisque on the appealing gentle-faced bebe, original signed body.
