13" (33 cm.) Solid domed bisque shoulderhead depicting a young lad, with sculpted brown short hair, defined forelock curl, painted facial features, intaglio blue eyes, black and incised upper eyeliner, white eyedots, single stroke brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth with solemn expression, kid body with gusset-jointing at hips and legs, bisque forearms, nicely costumed. Condition: generally excellent, right thumb chipped. Marks: Heubach (sunburst) 7072 Germany. Comments: Gebruder Heubach, circa 1912. Value Points: very expressive sculpting including deeply-impressed cheek dimples.
