5" (13 cm.) One-piece all-bisque doll with blonde sculpted hair drawn back from face into short pageboy curls and held by a black hair band, painted blue eyes, red and black eyeliner, single-stroke brows, arms held in front of body, pained purple lustre ankle boots and purple bows. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: Germany, circa 1870. Value Points: the model known as "Alice in Wonderland" for its resemblance to Alice in the John Tenniel illustrations for the original edition of that book, with luxury purple lustre boots.
