Description
4 1/2" (11 cm.) - 8 1/2". Each of five all-bisque Kewpies has jointed arms, one-piece head, torso and legs, sculpted topknot, forelock curls and side curls, sculpted blue wings, painted large side-glancing eyes, and impish smile, each signed O'Neill on feet. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: Kewpie, Germany, circa 1915, from original designs by Rose O'Neill. Value Points: the cheerful group are wearing their original hand-sewn wedding costumes, including Groom with top hat, Bride, two Bridesmaids, and Flower Girl.
