18" (46 cm.) Bisque socket head with slender angular face and strong elongated throat, aquiline nose, blue glass inset eyes, dark eyeliner, painted lashes, feathered brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth with primly outlined lips, blonde mohair wig over cork pate, French all-wooden body excepting original pewter hands, slender elongated torso and limbs, dowel jointing at shoulders, elbows, hips and knees, antique cashmere dress, undergarments, stockings, cream shoes, bonnet. Condition: bisque excellent, body structurally excellent, original painted finish on body is worn. Marks: Huret (head). Comments: Maison Huret, circa1912, during the era of Eliza Prevost who introduced new artistic facial models, and new version of articulated lady body; the dolls were made for only a few years. Value Points: an especially beautiful example of the Prevost Huret doll, with delicate bisque, refined demeanor, beautiful face, original wooden body.
