11 1/2" (29 cm.) l. The classic furniture was cleverly designed to provide dual purpose in one unit, first as a rocking chair for mother or nanny and secondly, as a rocking cradle for a baby. Rarely found, this particular example is outstanding for its artistry of carving, shapely back and arms, and individually-shaped spindles. Condition: generally excellent, one side spindle missing. Comments: American, circa 1875. Value Points: very fine model of a rare American furnishing in miniature size.
