19" (48 cm.) Bisque socket head, amber brown glass paperweight inset eyes, dark eyeliner, painted lashes, rose-blushed eyeshadow, brushstroked brows, shaded nostrils, closed mouth, outlined lips, pierced ears, auburn mohair wig over cork pate, French composition and wooden fully-jointed body. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: Depose Tete Jumeau Bte SGDG 8 (head) Articles de Paris Robert Bosseler (original boutique label on back torso). Comments: Emile Jumeau, circa 1886. Value Points: beautiful creamy bisque whose amber eyes are complemented by original auburn wig, original body and body finish, original (some frailty), red silk costume and matching bonnet, original socks and red silk shoes with gilt lettering "Bebe Jumeau Paris Depose", incised 8.
