15" (38 cm.) h. x 27"w. x 28" d. The single story wooden house features double-roofs that can be removed for access to the interior, interior and exterior sliding door partitions, raised on stilts with gritted base. From a series of miniature mid-1900s houses commissioned by Huguette Clark from the Japanese artist, Saburo Kawakami, through the agency of the historic Asian art importer G.T. Marsh of San Francisco and Santa Barbara. The construction as well as native woods are authentic, including sliding doors which are designed to simply fit into the floor and frame grooves in the exact manner of actual buildings. Excellent condition.
