22" (56 cm.) Carved porcelain shoulder head, black sculpted hair in rare side-parted fashion with rolled curls framing the face and covering the left ear, while the right ear is sculpted, painted facial features, blue upper glancing eyes, red and black upper eyeliner, single stroke brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth with upturned lip corners in slight smile, on wooden carved body with dowel-jointing at shoulders, hips and knees, porcelain lower arms and legs, painted black ankle boots with laced ties and purple garters. Condition: generally excellent, the doll has two right porcelain legs which seem original to the doll. Comments: Germany, circa 1865. Value Points: rare model with most unusual carving of hair and ear, rare body, antique limbs, posed seated in early (as is) chair which is included.
