A gilded metal bird cage with brass finial and hanging loop is constructed on a gilded wooden base with carved floral designs, with hinged wood door and an interior brass perch which is interwoven with gilded forest leaves and flowers, bisque petals, and a feathered bird which, when wound and lever released, flits side-to-side, preens feathers, and opens and closes its beak in synchronization with his bird song.
