16" (41 cm.) All-cloth doll of cafe-au-lait muslin with flat-dimensional face, one-piece head and torso, loosely stuffed, stitch jointing at hips and shoulders, painted facial features, brown eyes with shaded details and eyeliner, outlined nose, closed mouth with row of teeth and smiling expression, antique costume, black floss hair in wiry ringlet curls. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: American, circa 1900, likely a one-of-a-kind folk doll. Value Points: very fine artistry of painted features, wonderful hair, on the rare doll.
