18" (46 cm.) Bisque socket head with slender oval facial shape and elongated strong throat, painted facial features, shaded blue eyes with darker rims and prominent black pupils, thick black upper eyeliner, painted lashes, feathered brows, closed mouth with prim expression, well-defined sculpting of blushed ears, brunette mohair wig, fully articulated slender lady body with wooden torso and arms, jointing at shoulders, elbows, hips, and knees. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: Huret 2 (head). Comments: Maison Huret, from the Elisa Prevost epoch, circa 1909, Value Points: striking presence of the turn-of-the-century fashionable French dame, with artistic painting, especially of eyes, antique burgundy velvet and silk costume.
