30" (76 cm.) Paper mache shoulder head with short sculpted hair in centerparted curls, fully-sculpted ears, deeply-set eye sockets with large brown eyes, painted upper lashes, single stroke brows, closed mouth, blushed cheeks, muslin stitch-jointed body, kid arms with stitched and separated fingers, antique silk dress, undergarments, shoes. Condition: generally excellent, little rub on nose tip. Marks: Patent Head. Comments: American, circa 1870. Value Points: original finish, especially deeply-sculpted hair, original body and costume, posed seated on antique wooden chair.
