Description
4" (10 cm.) Each doll has bisque swivel head on kid-edged bisque torso, brown glass eyes, painted lashes and brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth with center accent line, blonde mohair wig, peg-jointed arms and legs; the larger doll with painted one-strap shoes and knit costume, marked 31/13; and the smaller doll with modeled closed fists, and having four-strap ankle boots, and antique chemise. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: Germany, circa 1890. Value Points: especially beautiful faces, the smaller doll by Kestner with wonderfully-detailed body.
