11" (28 cm.) Each with carved wooden head with highly characterized features, painted complexion and features, cloth body, paper mache limbs; one with carved hair in the 18th century manner, an the other with flax hair. Condition: very good, dustiness of costumes. Comments: Germany, mid-1800s, designed for use with play theatre, one figure has ink-script date of 1865 on leg. Value Points: wearing original silk costumes.
