Description
11" (28 cm.) Polychromed terra cotta cow posed resting, its head uplifted, brown painted finish with cream accents including eye shadow around dark enamel eyes, well-defined ears, horns, and hooves. Excellent condition. Neapolitan, late 1700s, attributed to Francesco Gallo who was a modeler at the Royal Porcelain Factory specializing in animals.
