Bisque swivel head on kid-edged bisque shoulder plate,large brown glass enamel inset eyes,painted lashes,brush-stroked brows,accented nostrils,closed mouth with outlined lips,blonde mohair wig,pierced ears,kid poupee body with gusset-jointing at elbows,hips and knees,stitched and separated fingers. Condition: generally excellent,body especially sturdy and fresh. Comments: Emile Jumeau,circa 1878,important transitional model bridging the lady doll (poupee) and child doll (bebe); this bisque head model was also used on the premiere bebe. Value Points: rare model to find,with entrancing large brown eyes,having original wig,original very sturdy body,and wearing wonderful fashionable walking suit with black velvet bonnet,brown leather purse,leather shoes signed with script P.
