19" (48 cm.) Bisque socket head, brown glass paperweight inset eyes with spiral threading, dark eyeliner, painted lashes, brushstroked brows, rose-blushed eyeshadow, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth, defined white space between the shaded and accented lips, separately modeled pierced ears, brunette hand-tied human hair wig over cork pate, French composition and wooden fully-jointed body with straight wrists, antique costume. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: Depose E. 8 J. (head) Jumeau Medaille d'Or Paris (body). Comments: Emile Jumeau, circa 1884. Value Points: the lovely brown-eyed bebe has choice bisque and decoration, blushed eyeshadow, original body and body finish, fine antique costume (possibly original), and signed Jumeau shoes.
