6" (15 cm.) The oval porcelain painting depicts a semi-profile view of a young girl with windblown brunette hair enclosed in a red scarf, carrying her slate and school books, in wooden oval frame with carved rosebuds and leaves having rich gold leaf finish. Excellent condition. Late 1800s.
