Two German All-Bisque Dolls as Japanese Children

4 1/2" (11 cm.) Each is all-bisque with painted hair and facial features, jointed bisque arms, and includes girl with painted brown hair and forelock curl, painted side-glancing googly eyes, crooked smile, painted orange shoes, and girl with sculpted and painted cap, very narrow side-slant eyes and brows, closed mouth, painted pink shoes. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: Germany, circa 1915. Value Points: each of the little girls has black mohair wig in up-swept fashion, and wears Japanese-style silk costume.
