17" (43 cm.) Bisque shoulder head with sculpted blonde hair arranged with scalloped curls at the forehead and into arranged tight curls at the back, decorated with a white Dresden rose, rosebud and green leaves at the side of her head, blue glass inset eyes, dark eyeliner, painted lashes and brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth with accent line between the pale lips, pierced ears, painted blue bodice edged with magenta striped collar, double row of ruffles, and with a four-tiered sculpted ruffle with beaded dots, muslin stitch-jointed body, leather arms, nicely costumed. Condition: generally excellent, one leaf missing on Dresden hair flower. Marks: 101-4. Comments: C.F. Kling, circa 1870. Value Points: rare signed model with most charming gentle expression, glass eyes, rare coiffure decoration and very rare decoration of bodice.
