Description
22" (56 cm.) h. x 31"w. 20"d. The wooden framed cottage style house features one large room with upper loft accessed by interior staircase, and features lattice windows with original curtains, painted shutters, and some interior furnishings. The house is decorated all-around with scenes from Rumpelstiltskin including miller's daughter at the spinning wheel, the King and the miller. The Rumpelstiltskin figure is remarkably similar to the doll/puppet figure created by BAPS. The Huguette Clark dollhouse collection of Baps-themed houses is discussed in a chapter in Baps, Dolls and Puppets by Nancy C. Felix-Moore (pp 21-23). Excellent condition. Germany, late 1950s.
