22" (55 cm.) Socket head with elongated facial modeling, painted complexion and facial features, brown eyes, black eyeliner, grey shaded eyeshadow, feathered brows, elongated nose, closed mouth, blonde mohair wig in bobbed fashion, all-cloth body with stitch-jointed arms and legs, wearing original felt dress with colorful block design and matching cap, undergarments, knee-high black boots. Condition: generally excellent. Original finish is well preserved. Marks: D.P. 55 9 . Comments: Dora Petzold, the German artist who re-invigorated the art character movement in the 1930s. Value Points: rarely found studio doll with very solemn expression, original finish, original costume.
