Bisque socket head with plump rounded shape, brown glass inset eyes, dark eyeliner, painted lashes, feathered brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth with center accent line, pierced ears, light brown mohair wig over original Schmitt pate, composition and wooden eight-loose-ball-jointed body with straight wrists and flat-cut derriere. Condition: professional restoration at the back of head, original body and body finish. Marks: Sch (in shield on head and derriere) 000 (impressed on pate. Comments: Schmitt et Fils, circa 1882. Value Points: beautiful early bebe with finest complexion and facial features of gentle-faced bebe, with fine original costume and also including white pique cap, jacket and coat. The bebe is seated in wooden cane seat high chair with gold leaf finish.
