Description
15" (38 cm.) including hat. Paper mache socket head, dark blue glass paperweight inset eyes, painted lashes and brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, open mouth, four teeth, brunette mohair wig, five-piece paper mache body. Condition: generally excellent, some rubs on insect decorations. Marks: Eden Clown (box label and with illustration of a clown). Comments: French, circa 1890. Value Points: all original with glass eyes, clown painting with decoupage of insects, original silk clown costume and attached hat, with original box.
