16" (41 cm.) Bisque socket head, brown glass eyes, dark eyeliner, painted lashes, brushstroked brows, accented nostrils, slightly-parted lips with square-cut upper teeth, dimpled chin and philtrum, pierced ears, brunette mohair wig, Sonneberg composition and wooden eight-loose-ball-jointed body with straight wrists. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 979 8. Comments: Simon and Halbig, circa 1885. Value Points: fine gleaming patina of complexion on the scarce-to-fine model, wearing antique woolen boy's costume with jacket, vest and trousers, saddle shoes.
