16" (41 cm.) Bisque socket head with rounded plump facial shape, chubby cheeks, large blue glass side-glancing googly eyes, dark eyeliner, painted long curly lashes, single-stroke brows, rounded pug nose with accented nostrils, closed mouth with watermelon slice-shaped smile, accented lips, brunette bobbed wig, composition and wooden ball-jointed toddler body with side-hip jointing, wonderful antique costume. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 165-6. Comments: Hertel and Schwab, from their series of "Jubilee" googlies, circa 1916. Value Points: the captivating impish expression is enhanced by fine quality of bisque and deeply modeled features especially of the lips.
