13" (33 cm.) Solid domed paper mache shoulderhead, black enamel inset eyes, painted lashes, single stroke brows, accented nostrils, open mouth with slight smile, two upper and two lower teeth, brunette mohair wig over black painted pate, kid poupee body with gusset-jointing at hips. Condition: very good, some typical rubs on original finish. Comments: French, circa 1840. Value Points: charming petite poupee with smiling open mouth, the doll is wearing lovely antique costume, and is preserved in original trunk labeled "Graverend, 63 Rue Grand Pont, Rouen" along with several additional costumes and other accessories.
