23" (58 cm.) Bisque socket head, brown glass paperweight inset eyes, dark eyeliner, lushly painted lashes, mauve-blushed eyeshadow, brushstroked and feathered brows, shaded nostrils, closed mouth with shaded and accented lips, pierced ears, brunette mohair wig over cork pate, French composition and wooden fully-jointed body with kid-covered hinged jointing at hips allowing freely swinging legs, beautiful antique aqua silk and lace dress, bonnet, undergarments, stockings, black leather French shoes. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: L'Intrepide R.D, Bte SGDG (and artist checkmarks). Comments: the walking system was deposed by Roullet & Decamps in 1892, with bisque head made by Jumeau; this is the second version of the model. Value Points: rare model with full L'Intrepide markings on the head, in fine state of preservation, lovely face.
