Description
20" (51 cm.) Bisque shoulder head with very plump face, short blonde sculpted hair in curly tousled style topped by a ribbon-banded blue cap perched at the back of the head, partially sculpted ears, blue glass eyes, dark eyeliner, painted lashes, feathered brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth with center accent line, muslin stitch-jointed body, sewn-on stockings and leather boots, wearing antique black velvet boy's suit, shirt. Condition: generally excellent, small flake at back brim of hat appears original in the making. Comments: attributed to Alt, Beck and Gottschalk, circa 1880. Value Points: rare model with glass eyes and wonderful definition of sculpting including the jauntily perched blue cap.
