33" (84 cm.) Bisque swivel head on kid-edged bisque shoulderplate, brown glass enamel inset eyes, dark eyeliner, painted curly lashes, mauve blushed eye shadow, arched feathered brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth with delicately shaded and outlined lips, separately-modeled pierced ears, brunette human hair over cork pate, kid poupee body with gusset-jointing at elbows, hips and knees, stitched and separated fingers, lovely antique costume. Condition: bisque excellent, body is sturdy albeit with patches. Comments: Pierre-François Jumeau, circa 1875, the model later evolved into the first of the portrait bebes by his son, Emile Jumeau. Value Points: very rare grand size of the stunningly-beautiful poupee has finest delicate bisque and artistic painting of features.
