16" (41 cm.) One-piece porcelain figure of young standing toddler, posed with legs askance and arms held in front of body with folded fists, having pink-tinted facial complexion, painted black hair with swirling curls around the face, painted brown eyes with spiral threading, grey and black upper eyeliner, single stroke brows, closed mouth with wide center line. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: Germany, circa 1885, designed for play as bathing dolls, the model began to be known as "Frozen Charlotte" referring to a popular poem of the era. Value Points: rarer brown eyes and pink tinted facial complexion.
