22" (56 cm.) Bisque swivel head on kid-edged bisque shoulderplate, blue glass paperweight inset eyes with spiral threading, dark eyeliner, painted lashes, feathered arched brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth with slightly-upturned lip corners in tentative smile, accented lips, pierced ears, blonde mohair wig over cork pate, French all-wooden fully-articulated body with ball-swivel waist, dowel-jointing at shoulders, elbows, wrists, hips, knees and ankles, with original undergarments and robe. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: J (head and shoulders). Comments: Leon Casimir Bru, circa 1872, his deposed smiling head model on original deposed wooden body. Value Points: gorgeous poupee with finest complexion and painting, rare body.
