Bisque socket head with flattened solid dome, very full cheeks, brown glass inset eyes, thick dark eyeliner, painted lashes, brushstroked and feathered brows, shaded nostrils, closed mouth with very full shaded lips, pierced ears, blonde hand-tied human hair wig, Sonneberg composition and wooden fully-jointed body with straight wrists, lovely antique costume. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: S 15 H 939. Comments: Simon and Halbig, circa 1885. Value Points: an exceptional example of this sought-after model, with exemplary bisque enhanced by dewy patina of complexion, beautifully-painted features, original body and body finish.
