Description
24" (61 cm.) x 18" size of tent floor. The circus features a wooden-framed floor with blue side walls that are paper labeled "Humpty Dumpty Circus" on all sides, and with a circus "ring" on the inside. Forming a back wall to the floor is a canvas circus tent with centered canvas door flaps, a tent flap banner that is lettered "Humpty Dumpty Circus", strings of flag banners, and attached metal acrobatic bars and rings. A ringmaster conducts the circus, along with bisque-head man and woman acrobats, clown, performing monkey with flannel suit, three glass-eyed animals (elephant with blanket, donkey and poodle), and three painted eye animals (tiger, double hump camel, and single hump camel). Also included are four chairs, 3 ladders, 8 balls and balancing stands, 2 hoops, 2 batons, and one bottle labeled "Humpty Dumpty Extra Dry". Excellent condition. American, Schoenhut, circa 1900.
