Description
9" (23 cm.) Bisque swivel head on kid-edged bisque torso, brown glass sleep eyes, painted lashes, brushstroked brows, accented nostrils, open mouth with outlined lips, two square cut upper teeth and one lower, pierced ears, blonde mohair wig, shapely torso, peg-jointed bisque arms and legs, painted white ribbed stockings and black five-strap heeled boots, wearing pretty lace dress. Condition: tiniest pinflake at right eye rim, right baby finger tip chipped, some restoration on right hand, flakes at stringing holes of legs. Marks: 102 12. Comments: Kestner, circa 1880. Value Points: rare large all-bisque with highly-characterized facial expression and very muscular-shaped body.
