20" (51 cm.) All-composition with socket head, jointing at shoulders and hips, sleep eyes, real lashes, open mouth with smiling dimpled expression, row of teeth, blonde mohair wig with ringlet curls. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: Cop. Shirley Temple Ideal N&T 20 (head) Shirley Temple (torso). Comments: Ideal, circa 1937. Doll in this costume appeared in advertisements for Shirley dolls; in one ad the child star was shown arranging the hair of her doll and, in another ad, the doll was named "Shirley's Party Dress". Value Points: wearing original white organdy dress (original label) with white and blue flower sprigs, bretelle ruffles, and heart-shaped buttons, and with undergarments, socks and shoes.
