Description
34" (86 cm.) h. 25"w. x 19"d. The large wooden double-storied dollhouse features a widow's walk at the peak of the lithographed-shingled roof, and a elaborately-constructed front with three-sided built-out on the right hand side that extends to both floors. There is a detachable attic section, and the house hinges open at the center front for access to the interior rooms which are unfurnished but retain original wall and floor papers, curtaining and fireplaces. The painted house front has two double-stack chimneys, gold accented spindles on the porch railings, and the side exterior walls are covered with lithographed paper to simulate brick. A rain roof extends over the front door. Excellent original condition. Germany, attributed to Christian Hacker, c. 1900.
