9" (23 cm.) All-bisque Kewpie with rich brown complexion, one piece head, torso and legs, loop-jointed arms, black painted hair with defined topknot and forelock curls, blue wings, side-glancing googly eyes, impish smile with full lips. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: O'Neill (feet). Comments: Germany, circa 1912, the model, named Hottentot, appeared in stories by Rose O'Neill and was later marketed under this name as a doll. Value Points: very rare model in larger size with beautiful complexion and with rare original chest label.
