14" (36 cm.) h. 14"l. Arranged on a carpeted ebony wooden platform under glass dome is a festive holiday family gathering, the family comprising Grandpa with bald pate, Mother with sculpted brown hair, three small all-bisque children with glass eyes and mohair wigs. There is a walnut pedestal table and four matching chairs with velvet upholstery, and a decorated feather Christmas tree stands alongside. Various foods and a gilded metal clock are arranged on the table, and the children play with their just-received holiday dolls and toys while their little dog sits sadly on a chair wanting to join the play. Excellent condition. Germany, circa 1900, each of the dolls is wearing its factory original costume.
