24" (61 cm.) Bisque swivel head on kid-edged bisque shoulderplate, blue glass spiral threaded eyes, dark eyeliner, painted lashes, arched feathered brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth with beautifully-shaded lips, pierced ears, brunette human hair over cork pate, wooden poupee body with dowel-jointing at shoulders, elbows, wrists, hips knees, and ankles and with ball-swivel waist. Condition: generally excellent, original body finish with some scuffing. Marks: 8 (head and shoulders) F.G. (shoulders). Comments: Gaultier, circa 1875, on wooden articulated body deposed by Leon Casimir Bru in 1872. Value Points: very fine quality of bisque and painting, rare body especially in this larger size.
