19" (48 cm.) Bisque socket head with deeply sculpted facial features portraying a child with beaming smile, brown glass inset eyes, black eyeliner, painted lashes, thick brushstroked brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, open mouth with slightly parted lips, row of porcelain teeth, dimpled double chin, pierced ears, brunette human wig, composition and wooden fully-jointed body. Condition: generally excellent, two fingers broken. Marks: S 11 H Dep 969. Comments: Simon and Halbig, circa 1890. Value Points: very rare model with most distinctive smiling expression, lovely antique costume.
