Clay/composition head and hands, sculpted and painted facial features and hair, very tight ringlet curls, downcast eyes with heavy eyelids, closed mouth, cloth form torso, legs and arms, Condition: generally excellent. Marks: Tudor Queen Elizabeth made by Mary Branca. Comments: Mary Branca, the Chicago area hat designer and dollmaker, 1930s to 1960s, this model circa 1950. Value Points: rare doll of great artistry with superb original velvet and silk costume with elaborate jewelry and accessories.
