Bisque swivel head on kid-edged bisque shoulder plate, blue glass enamel inset eyes, dark eyeliner, painted lashes, widely feathered brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth with outlined lips, upturned lip corners with impressed dimples, pierced ears, brunette human hair over cork pate, French all-wooden body according to Bru brevete with swivel ball-jointed waist, dowel-jointing at shoulders, elbows, wrists, hips, knees and ankles, separately carved fingers, along with antique blue wooled walking suit with black velvet accents, undergarments, shoes. Condition: generally excellent, original body finish with worn patina on fingers. Marks: G. Comments: Leon Casimir Bru, circa 1872, his brevete smiling face model and brevete wooden body. Value Points: very choice example of the rare doll with exemplary bisque, full articulation of body joints, lovely antique costume may be original.
