13" (33 cm.) h. Standing upon a wooden wheeled platform with tin spoked wheels is a bisque head jester with blue glass eyes, painted features, open mouth, tiny teeth, blonde mohair wig, wooden block torso, legs and hands, wearing original costume and Pierrot hat. In front is a large parade drum on pedestal and he holds a drumstick and cymbal; when pulled along, the doll turns its head side to side, beats the drum, and claps the cymbal. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 4600 10 S (pb in star) H. Comments: Germany, circa 1890. Value Points: delightful toy with wonderful bisque, expression, enchanting actions.
