Paper mache swivel head with gofun complexion, brown enamel inset eyes, tinted hair and brows, over-sized ears, closed mouth, carton torso with paper wrap, paper mache lower arms and legs. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: Japanese, Ichimatsu doll, late 1800s. Value Points: superb early Ichimatsu with wonderful expression, large ears, original costume and cap, original stand, and having maker's signature on paper-wrapped torso.
