21" (53 cm.) Porcelain shoulderhead with oval-shaped face and elongated throat, modeled cleavage, lightly pink tinted complexion, black sculpted hair loosely looped over each ear with defined hair waves, and drawn into a tightly braided chignon at the back of head decorated by sculpted comb, painted facial features, well defined eyes, richly painted outlined lips, muslin/kid stitch-jointed body, porcelain lower arms, antique costume. Condition: generally excellent, one paint rub on chignon. Marks: 6 (or C, scroll inside shoulderplate). Comments: Germany, circa 1850. Value Points: very rare early lady whose porcelain is enhanced by pink-tinted complexion, superb painting of lips. Ex-collection Legoland Museum of Antique Dolls and Toys.
